I thought that it couldn't hurt to buy this brand because if it didn't work the way I wanted it to I wouldn't be out any money. I brought it home and tried it today in the shower. And the experience was amazing.
All I used on my hair today was the Renpure shampoo - no conditioner, no straightener, nada. Since I have thick hair I washed my hair twice with it, and then combed it out and let it air dry. I am thrilled with the results! Typically, if I use shampoo by itself, my hair tangles horribly. Today, my first shock came when I combed it out, because there were absolutely NO TANGLES. That's never happened to me before!
When I use conditioners, my hair becomes silky but very heavy, and then, with all that conditioner in it, it got greasy and dirty extremely quickly. Ugh. My hair is dry now, and as I run my fingers through it there is an incredibly lightweight feeling, unlike yesterday, when I had to load it up with conditioner to achieve a similar feeling.
Usually if I let my hair air dry, it crimps and ripples and simply looks "wonky" for lack of a better word. But I just went and looked in the mirror and my jaw dropped! My hair is following the curve of the haircut I got a few weeks ago, and it looks like it's been styled! It's not perfect,of course, but there were no bumps or wrinkled bits or odd ripples like my hair normally has. I am, in a word, blown away.
My favorite thing was learning about the product and family that makes it. I read the ingredients in the shower today, and then laughed out loud when I got to "Not Tested on Animals" part, because underneath that line it said, "Tested on the Redmonds." Ha! That's fabulous!
