This is a largely natural based ingredient hair shampoo formulated for dry hair. It does not contain any lauryl or laureth sulfates. It left my curly hair feeling silky after the first use.
The gardenia fragrance is very feminine and lingers after use. This shampoo should be thought of as part of your overall fragrancing. It could potentially clash with some perfumes, and would be too girly for a man to use.
It had an acceptable lather for a shampoo free of lauryl and laureth sulfates. If you are not used to these products, they do lather differently than shampoos based on other detergents.
The gentle formula also worked well for my tween age daughter. She has had dandruff, and this shampoo did not lead to any dandruff for her.
This is the first shampoo I have used in years that really wowed me. If you want a gentle and fabulously scented shampoo, this is it.
